Robbie Ryan…
Don’t know how or why I didn’t discuss the influence of Robbie Ryan in my application, if I’d written it a day either side I would have picked four or five different people. Wuthering Heights is simply stunning. Beautiful and unique. Love his style and what he does with film.

Draft edit (no audio yet, wading through that tomorrow) clocking in at under 13 minutes without the end credits in place. Would like to get it closer to 10 minutes so it gives me some leeway for other footage on the showreel (15 minute limit). Will be showing you some stuff over the next week or two, looking for feedback. Aiming for an end of April completion to give me time to prepare my application…

Calm before the storm…
Timelapse taken at Abersoch, pre-water scene.
What an amazing few days, couldn’t have asked for more from the people, the weather and our environment. Serendipity and collaboration. Important edit ahead. New hard drive bought specifically. Impressed with initial look at footage, positive approach only now.
Also, my first rough take at a timelapse…

Packing is stressing me. Had to jettison two tracking poles and football…not there yet.

A man’s work is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover through the detours of art those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened.

Next full moon…
…fullest 6th April. We’ll get a bit of moonlight if the clouds stay away…

Bedding and linen service…
£8.50 a person for the stay, that will be beds made when we arrive and stripped and washed when we leave. I’m happy to take my own…let me know a group consensus…
